Position Title: Project Officer

Position Description:
The Project Officer, reporting to the Climate Risk Management (CRM) Specialist, supports the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of RIMES’ projects in the Risk Knowledge Applications Unit
Type of Contract:

Duration:
1 May 2022 – 30 April 2023
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Transportation costs related to coordination work outside of the duty station shall be reimbursed
- Local travel costs and subsistence allowance during field work shall be provided according to the project budget
Additional Conditions:
Working week: Master’s degree in a relevant field e.g., project management, business administration, engineering, commerce, law or procurement. Knowledge of the markets on ICT goods and consulting services)
Official holidays: Official public holidays in staff ‘ s country shall be observed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide research and writing support to the Risk Knowledge Applications Unit

Support the implementation, documentation, monitoring and evaluation of RIMES programs and projects including:
- Liaise with government agencies, local authorities and communities, and other partners
- Facilitate development and customization of training manuals, guides, information materials and other documents
- Organize and facilitate forums, trainings, workshops and other capacity building programs
- Collect data and relevant information for project M&E or for customizing ICT tools and systems,
- Undertake field visits to monitor implementation of activities as well as receive local level feedback
- Assist in the facilitation and management of field visits by donors and partners
- Prepare and submit program and project reports, and related deliverables
- Document and communicate highlights, good practices, lessons learned
- Participate in meetings/discussions with RIMES team and project partners, where required;
- Any other relevant work, as assigned by RIMES Climate Risk Management Specialist.
Expected Outputs:
- Monthly progress reports on assigned tasks
- Deliverables according to timeline agreed with immediate supervisor
