As a Project Officer (Communication), Fariha Ferdous Deeny is responsible for supporting RIMES projects in topographic surveys and data quality checking, geospatial analysis, regional planning, and technical documentation for relevant sectors e.g. water resources transportation etc. In Bangladesh, Deeny supports conducting research, assisting project activities at national and field levels, coordinating with partners at national down to local levels to facilitate implementation of project activities, assisting in the facilitation and management of field visits by donors and partners. She also supports the Department Of Disaster Management (DDM), Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) and Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre as per requirement.

In her previous employment, she held the position of junior engineer on a number of government and donor-funded projects. She also serves as a professional content writer in addition to her engineering career. She writes both technical and non-technical content for national and international websites, and she has published articles in a diversity of applications.

Deeny holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Civil Engineering from the Military Institute Of Science and Technology (MIST).
