As Program Manager, Faqrul is responsible for managing different projects for implementation of successful project interventions. He is responsible for leading and supervising the project team, as well as collaborating with a number of government agencies and ministries, including the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre of Bangladesh Water Development Board, the Department of Disaster Management, and various humanitarian organizations.

He has more than 5 years experience in working on government and donor funded projects. He also received various training including GIS and Remote sensing, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Project Management etc. He has expertise in vulnerability and risk assessment and impact based forecasting. He was also an integral part of the country's first Forecast based Action (FbA) project and  contributed in developing the Early Action Matrix (EA matrix) for floods. Faqrul also participated in conferences and published peer reviewed journal papers. He is a member of Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP).

Faqrul received his Master of Economics (M.Econ) degree in Environmental Economics from University of Dhaka and Bachelor degree (B.URP) in Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
