Asean Climate Outlook Forum Consensus Bulletin for June – August 2026

The latest seasonal outlook from the 26th ASEAN Climate Outlook Forum (ASEANCOF-26) indicates that above-normal temperatures are likely across most of Southeast Asia during June–August 2026.

Rainfall conditions are expected to vary across the region, with drier-than-normal conditions likely over much of the Maritime Continent, while parts of mainland Southeast Asia may experience a mix of below-, near-, and above-normal rainfall. Climate experts also note that El Niño is likely to develop during the season, increasing the likelihood of typical El Niño-related climate impacts.
